Description:
The system consists of columns with a vertical beam and one or two horizontal beams at the base to provide stability. A series of arms are attached on which the load is placed. These columns are made of hot-rolled metal beams at variable heights enabling to be fitted. Moreover, its design allows the loads to be fitted on one side of the structure only, or on both sides.
Cantilever is a multi-level, high storage and cube specialty steel racks. These racks are made to hold massive amounts of weight, with easy product loading and removal. Cantilever racks are usually made of 3 parts: columns or uprights, arms, and x-braces which connect the columns together.
This type of structure is extremely strong even if it seems somewhat flimsy and can bear considerable weight. Loads on the horizontal support are carried to the vertical support contact point where they are distributed and resisted by a combination of moment and shear stress forces.
Cantilever racks are mainly used to store oversized and non-standard sized products like Timber, pipes, rods etc … that cannot fit into conventional racks.
